Ranger Sarah, Program Coordinator

As Program Coordinator, Sarah (aka “Ranger Sarah”) develops and facilitates the Outdoor Explorations Program (OEP), and supports a variety of other outdoor educational programs like summer camps and handling raptors at the Raptor Center. Sarah grew up in Pueblo and became passionate about sharing Pueblo’s beautiful outdoor spaces after exploring local trails during the pandemic. She joined the NWDC team in 2022 and quickly fell in love with teaching. Soon after, she helped pioneer NWDC’s first full time educator position. Since joining the team, Sarah has gained skills and/or certifications in Wilderness First Aid, challenge course facilitation, raptor handling and rehabilitation, and more. When she isn’t helping kids explore both campuses of NWDC, Sarah can be found at her favorite coffee shop, exploring new trails, or curled up with her dog, cat, and a good book at home.
