NWDC Appoints Executive Director

(March 16, 2022) – The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center’s (NWDC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Taylor Driver has been appointed as the new Executive Director.

Taylor joined NWDC on Monday, April 4th, and brings over 9 years of non-profit experience in stewardship, environmental education, and volunteerism. She joins NWDC after almost 5 years with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC), though some might recognize her as the former Program Director of the Mountain Park Environmental Center.


Throughout her career, Taylor has honed her skills in developing innovative partnerships and strategic program development to support organization growth and relevancy. She is looking forward to bringing her passion for community engagement to bolster new partnerships, key stakeholders, and volunteer supporters to further increase the stability and reach of NWDC.


Taylor’s appointment concludes a thorough search process that evaluated many qualified candidates.

The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit environmental education and raptor rehabilitation center located in the City and County of Pueblo, Colorado. NWDC was founded in 2018 through the merging of two veteran organizations who bring 50 combined years of high-quality nature programming to the Pueblo community. NWDC now manages these two unique locations to better serve our community, engaging over 20,000 participants annually.
