September 24, 2022 AVAS Birdwalk

NWDC • September 27, 2022

At 9am on the fourth Saturday of every month, the Arkansas Valley Audubon Society leads a birdwalk at the NWDC River Campus for an enjoyable outing to view and identify a variety of birds.

During the September 24, 2022 AVAS Birdwalk, 23 bird species were seen and/or heard, and 12 participants attended. Harry Rurup, Clif Smith, and Brandon Percival all helped to lead this walk. A Cinnamon Teal Duck was identified – a highlight of the day, and a first for the AVAS birdwalks at the River Campus! Brandon Percival spotted it first among a few Blue-winged Teal Ducks and then he helped the rest of the birdwatchers identify it as well.
