Gianna is a part of NWDC as the Coalition Coordinator for Generation Wild’s Pueblo Region. GenWild is a multiyear campaign designed to spark a movement that reconnects kids, youth, and young adults to the outdoor world. Gianna joined NWDC after her graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis in wilderness therapy, and after working for years in Colorado public health and at three universities, where she supported student wellness, specifically student connection to outdoor experiences. She is a proud Pueblo local and often shares that of all the places she’s lived, Pueblo remains the best community of which she’s been a part, and she is grateful this is the community in which she was raised.
