Thur, Sept 9, 7-8pm Grassroots Land Preservation in the Beulah Area at Mountain Park Environmental Center- co led by MPEC and the Palmer Land Trust 719-632- 3236. Fri, Sept 10, 10-11 Nature Toddlers Sat, Sept 11, 9am-2pm Grassroots Land Preservation in the Beulah Area at Mountain Park Environmental Center - co led by MPEC and the Palmer Land Trust, 719-632-3236. Thursdays, Aug 12 - Sept 16, 6:30-8 pm Fall Session Yoga at Mountain Park Environmental Center. Sun, Sept 19, 6-7:30 pm, Fall Equinox Drum Circles at Mountain Park Environmental Center. Guided Hikes An excellent variety of guided hikes are offered on a regular basis throughout the year. Led by an experienced naturalist, these popular excursions offer participants the opportunity to learn about the natural history of the park while getting some exhilarating exercise and meeting some terrific folks. Yoga at MPEC Since January 2009, Beulah's very own Debi Geller has been facilitating a yoga class every Thursday evening, from 6:30 - 8:00pm, at MPEC. Debi is a certified yoga instructor, has been teaching for 10 years, and this Anusara-inspired class is designed for all levels. Cost is $8 per Thursday evening session, payable to Debi. Drop-ins as well as regulars are welcome. For more info, contact Debi at 485-3224. School Programs Hands-on environmental education is our specialty. Students learn through doing! Subjects include Ecology, Wildlife Studies, Geography, Nature Literature, others. Designed to meet Colorado Model Content Standards. *Click here to find out more! Summer Nature Camps Our ecology camps are both educational and fun! Nature games, hiking, exploration, watching and tracking wildlife and so much more! *Click here to find out more! Nature for Toddlers (and their folks) *Click here for all Toddler Programs! This outdoor-based program is designed to give pre-school-age children an opportunity to spend some time enjoying and learning about nature. -Explore the natural world, looking for animals and their tracks -Take a short nature hike -Play simple nature games -Stories and songs Be sure all participants are prepared to be outside. Bring a water bottle and snack too!
