Wonders of Nature Day Camp Hike, explore, and play Nature games in the mountain park with MPEC naturalists. 8am – 3pm.
Dates: July 21-25 or August 4-8 Cost: $135
Nature Art Camp for 3rd & 4th graders. In this camp, participants study and practice a different artistic medium each day while learning about Nature. Led by the MPEC's naturalist and trained artist Ranger Linda. 8am – 3pm.

5th & 6th Graders:
Adventure Day Camps Hike, play games, and explore new places in the San Isabel National Forest with MPEC naturalists. 8am – 3pm.
Dates: June 9-13. Cost: $135

NEW! Survival Camp Learn the ins and outs of surviving in the woods with minimal tools and technology. Learn about things like water purification, map and compass use, fire building, and sleep in a shelter you build yourself! This 3-day / 2-night camp will be led by Ranger Jeff.

6th thru 9th Graders:
Greenhorn Wilderness Backpack Camp Spend three days and two nights in our local wilderness area! This camp is designed for young people with a love for Nature and physical activity. Participants will carry the food and gear they need 1-2 miles into this beautiful wilderness area, with a summit attempt of the Greenhorn Mountain on day two.
Dates: June 17-19. Cost: $270.
Camp Mission: Wolf This 3-day / 2-night program is a service learning camp where participants spend time with the resident wolves while helping them through a service learning work project. Participants help in the daily care of the wolves! Hear the wolves howl!!!
Dates: July 8-10. Cost: $225
6th – 9th Grade Girls Only:
Mountain Pathways for Young Women This popular "girls only" camp won the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education's Best New Program Award in 2005. Hike, horseback ride, explore Nature and yourself while bonding with other young women. This camp is led by an all female team. Day camp Mon – Fri. (8am – 3pm.),
Dates: June 9-13, July 14-18, or July 28 – August 1. Cost: $90 (balance of this $350+ camp funded by Pueblo City Schools and City & County of Pueblo).
The Birds & the Bees & the Flowers & the Trees Through hiking, journaling, and bonding activities, participants will learn about their own bodies and healthy choices for their future. This program is a blend of sex education and Nature education and is led by an all female team in collaboration with the Pueblo City / County Health Department.
Dates: July 25-27. Cost: $50 (balance of this $300+ program funded by the Nurturing Life Foundation, Packard Foundation and City & County of Pueblo).
6th – 9th Grade Boys Only:
NEW! Mountain Man Discovery Camp for young men. In response to the many requests for a boys’ version of the Birds & Bees Camp, Mountain Man Discovery Camp is a residential camp that will weave together Nature and sex education to promote a positive personal male image. Led by an all-male team, boys will participate in several outdoor activities like ropes course, hiking, rafting, and camping to open discussion on what it means to be a responsible man in the 2000’s.
Dates: July 22-24. Cost: $50 (balance of this $350+ program funded by the Nurturing Life Foundation and City & County of Pueblo).
